We start with queries from Tory Member of Parliament the committee chair, that oversees the committee.
She opens by offering context to the disclosed document prepared by Michael Prescott and published in the Telegraph.
"I do not desire the BBC leaning in any particular direction, I just want it balanced, fair and just," he states.
Upon being questioned if he considers the BBC is systematically partial, the adviser answers: "No I don't. To be clear, numerous aspects the BBC does is exceptional - including informative and fictional programming."
Nevertheless, he states: "There exists substantial tasks that needs to be done at the BBC."
Another ex-adviser BBC consultant interviewed by the group, Caroline Daniel, remarks she views the British Broadcasting Corporation very seriously and that it has a "continuous process and lively discussion" across dynamic and complex issues.
"Whether the BBC was ready to engage in a genuine dialogue and exchange and act accordingly?" she reflects. "In my view, indeed, they were."
