The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the wildly popular first-person shooter Call of Duty, has tragically died in a traffic collision in the state of California aged 55.

The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio he co-founded.

The renowned game designer passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and caught fire on a freeway in LA on Sunday morning, as reported by.

"This is a devastating loss, and our hearts are with his family and friends, those closest to him, and everyone impacted by his creative vision," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
